Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Canto del Nabo (also known as CantoNabo), available at https://elcantodelnabo.com, handles personal data and data obtained through YouTube API Services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to this policy.
1. Data controller
The controller is the operator of Canto del Nabo, website https://elcantodelnabo.com. To exercise access, correction, cancellation or objection rights, or to request deletion of your data, email luis.ruiz@kepler.com.mx.
2. Information we collect
We collect information needed to run karaoke events and organizer accounts:
- Admin account: username, email address and password (stored hashed).
- Event data: event name, tables, requested songs (title and artist entered by the user), queue status and, when applicable, the karaoke video URL.
- Guest data at an event: the name or alias given when requesting a song, and the associated table.
- Payments: Stripe processes cards and billing details. We do not store card numbers.
- Technical data: server logs, language preference and, if the user allows it, Web Push subscriptions.
3. YouTube API Services
Canto del Nabo uses YouTube API Services (YouTube Data API v3) and the official YouTube embed player to search for and play public karaoke videos.
By using song auto-scheduling or YouTube video playback in Canto del Nabo, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
This service uses YouTube API Services. Google’s handling of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
What we obtain from the API: the public video ID, public title, duration and whether the video can be embedded. We do this with a server-side API key; we do not ask you to sign in with Google and we do not access private YouTube accounts.
What we store: the public video URL or ID associated with a song request, so it can be played on that turn. We do not store YouTube statistics (views, likes, comments) and we do not create derived metrics from that data.
We do not sell YouTube API data or use it for advertising independent of YouTube.
You may ask us to delete the video URL/ID associated with your songs or account by emailing luis.ruiz@kepler.com.mx. Event organizers can also delete songs from the admin panel.
4. How we use information
We use data to provide the service: authenticate organizers, build the karaoke queue, look up the matching public video, play it with the YouTube player, charge plans through Stripe, send verification or password-reset emails, and operate the system.
5. Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while the account is active. Event data (tables, songs, video URLs) is kept for the organizer’s history and reports.
To delete your account or personal data, email luis.ruiz@kepler.com.mx with the subject “Data deletion”. We will handle the request within a reasonable time and delete or anonymize information that is no longer needed for legal or billing obligations.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct, cancel or object to processing of your data, and limit its use or withdraw consent, under applicable Mexican law. Contact luis.ruiz@kepler.com.mx.
9. Children
The service is intended for karaoke organizers (bars, restaurants and events), not for children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child provided us data, they may request deletion at the contact email.
10. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the current version.
